We had an appointment with a Pediatric cardiologist this morning to check out Lucie's little heart. The good news is there is nothing to worry about. The doctor hooked her up to some machines and did an EKG and looked at her heart. Yes, there is a slight murmur, but it is nothing to worry about and she will grow out of it. One of the arteries pumping blood away from her heart is at a slightly sharper angle than normal and therefore is speeding up the blood pumped through there. But the doctor reassured us several times that this is of no concern. Great news!!
Interesting Phenomenon....
Jessie and I have noticed that since Lucie was born, we no longer call each other by our names, or use terms of endearment like Babe or sweetheart, it is simply now Mommy and Daddy. Instead of "hey Babe, are you thirsty, can I get you something?". It is now "Hey Lucie, is your Mommy thirsty, does she need a drink?". Or it used to be, " Hey Justin would you mind taking the garbage out?" Now it is, "Hey Lucie, did you know the garbage is full, maybe your Daddy will take it out?". WEIRD!!

What a cutie! Thats great news about her little heart! Amy is gonna be really bummed that i got to see your blog before her.
I was trying to figure out who she resemebles more right now. She looks like she may have Justins nose. But i do see Jessie in her as well.
Anyways, i really cant wait to meet her!

We are so happy to hear that Lucie's heart is okay. Duane has a slight heart murmur too, and well, you know how active he is. It obviously hasn't slowed him down one bit! :)

So glad she checks out ok! What a relief! Thank you for posting pictures and keeping us updated. Lucie is absolutely beautiful and it sounds like you two are doing great. I can't wait to get my hands on her when we get home. =)
