My (Justin) parents made the drive to Missoula from Hillsboro to meet Lucie and hang out with us for a few days. Sure has been nice having some extra hands around to hold the baby girl. Lucie experienced a couple of "firsts" this week. She had her first hour + long car ride. We weren't sure how it was gonna go because she hasn't taken to the car seat yet when we are just tooling around town. In fact, she has hated it. Red faced, hyperventilating screams have accompanied car rides so far. And seeing as we have a ten hour drive to Oregon in a few weeks, we decided we needed to start breaking her in to distance driving. Thankfully she did great after about the first 10 minutes. She also had her first outing to a public restaurant. She chose Famous Daves, an excellent first restaurant. She already loves her BBQ! And also, she visited her first Montana ghost town. Huh, not sure how important that is, but it was fun. We took a little trip to Garnet, which is an incredible ghost town in the mountains about an hour from Missoula. It is a really cool place with 30 existing buildings and tons of history. It once had 1000 people living there all trying to strike it rich mining gold. If you come visit we will have to take you there.

im so glad the visit was fun... we need to go visit that ghost town!! and tell jessie she looks amazing and tell lucie she looks adorable and that i cant wait to get my hands on her!
